It has been recorded more than three thousand people a day have a heart attack. If you’re one of these people the day after your swine flu shot, would it not make you wonder if the vaccine was to blame and not all the poor food that you eat on a daily basis. The government is starting an unprecedented system stated from www.morningsun.com to track possible side effects as mass flu vaccinations begin next month. The main idea is to detect any rare but real problems that may arise quickly the inevitable coincidences that are sure to cause some false alarms. As stated by Dr. Neal Halsey, “We don’t have any reason to expect any unusual problems with this vaccine.” Because this H1N1 flu concentrates on the young more than the older folks, along with vaccine concerns are from 1976, when 500 cases was reported of the 45 million vaccinated against that year’s swine flu. The CDC is racing to gather a list of what is normal: 25,000 heart attacks every week; 14,000 to 19,000 miscarriages ever week; 300 severe allergic reactions called anaphylaxis every week. Any massive increase would mean fast checking to see if that vaccine really to increase and how much so that the health officials could set out the appropriate warnings.
This article is very obvious that many people’s fear is honest and true. My feelings haven’t changed as to how I feel about this outbreak. Our lives have changed so drastically compared to the way it was prior to the announcement of H1N1, we are more clean, and aware of our hygiene.
It scares me to death seeing all the possibilities of side affect’s along with the unknown of any side effects that might show at a later time. My family has low immunity systems, a father with cancer and my daughter with MRSA and my father as well with MRSA. I have had many years of my life with lung issues, pneumonia, or bronchitis and such, so this scare brings more fear in my life. We have supplied our house and our pocket books with hand sanitizers and anti bacterial soaps. Hand washing has become more frequently then it was before. I have noticed about my family that has changed and one that is very obvious is when we go out shopping, at department stores or such, they grab the anti-bacterial wipes to wipe the carts down, to keep the germs under control. They make me so proud! As long as the changes that we have made stays and doesn’t diminish. I feel that the public needs to be more conscientious about the flu, the germs, about watching how people cough and sneeze without covering their mouths. My family and I went to Wal-Mart the other day in Fort Scott, Kansas and our cashier was an older woman and she was coughing and sneezing in her hands as she was taking our food and scanning it. My jaw was dropped, I was speechless, then the straw that broke the camel’s back was when she took a Kleenex and wiped her nose as she was handling our food, and stuffed it in her pocket and back to handling my food again. She didn’t use hand sanitizer she didn’t clean her hands in any manner. I was standing there shaking my head. I ended up taking it to the manager and complaining. I came close to telling the manager I want everything new in my cart and they can deal with the rest of the stuff that was contaminated in my cart from her.
The concept of a pandemic is petrifying, but the fear is real, and can very much be a reality for this generation. Knowing the overwhelming amount of people that passed when the Plague was running ramped through the many civilizations of that era is insurmountable to the H1N1. Paranoid? Afraid? Should we be? Maybe that isn’t the question I should ask, maybe I should ask what are you doing to stay healthy and flu free. This is one time I think all of our mothers wouldn’t mind that we don’t share, none of your fellow humans want whatever you have, so cover your mouth, wash your hands, sneeze or cough in the crack of your arm.
